MBA International Industrial Management

Esslingen - Germany

Aug 31 2004 - Arrival
The day I left so called "great job", "comfortable life", and chose to study in a far far away country from Taiwan. People might be wondering why, some might think I gave up a lot. Somehow, to search for something missing while I was in Taiwan: to live my own life, that sounds granted for a lot of people but was too luxury for me to reach, I simply packed, and flew to Germany!

It's hard to say if it's a "correct" decision or not; but, I already feel I gain much more than I loose, which there's no way to measure by money! (Or, I'll turn everything to measurable after I learn it from MBA course, then I'll be able to tell people how rich I am!!:)

2004 Christmas vacation in Rome

Few months ago, seeing cheap ticket online from Rome to Stuttgart for 5 Euros, crazy enough, we simply booked and decided to go to Rome for our Christmas!! We ended up paying 50 Euros including round trip ticket and airport taxes, thanks to German Wings!! It was like flying from Taipei to Kaohsiung for me.

Few other classmates happened to be in Rome at the same time, we grouped up and explored Rome together. To see all the beautiful churches and incredible ruins, we walked and used public transportation a lot. After some days in Rome, we couldn't agree more of the vivid film comparing Italians and rest of Europeans. Italians might be the most unorganized people in Europe; or, maybe we're too much used to well organized Germany!? :-) Anyhow, we all missed home: Germany, in the end of our trip!!

Dec 24 2004 - Vatican

It comes to the special day that we follow our Chatholic friend Chirs to celebrate a very special Christmas Eve in Vatican, with the "Pope"- John Paul II. Three hours lining up in the rain, another two hours waiting in San Pietro, it all comes to the special moment to join devoted Christians throughout the world for the celebration of this special event. It's amazed for me to see how devoted and sincere these people are towards their religion. On the day I made a special wish that no matter which religion people believe, which country they come from, which peoples they are, we all repect and cherish, to make our world peaceful!
